About Four2Four

Four2Four is a curated electronic music discovery system for DJs.

The goal is not to publish every electronic music release. The goal is to select fewer releases and make each one more useful.

Four2Four helps DJs find playable releases, compatible keys, useful BPM ranges, trusted labels, relevant genres, and strong tracks for real sets.

Why Four2Four exists

Electronic music discovery has a volume problem.

Every week, thousands of new tracks appear across stores, streaming platforms, promo pools, label channels, and social feeds. For DJs, the challenge is not access. The challenge is filtering.

A release page is only useful when it helps a DJ make a decision.

Four2Four is built around that decision process.

We focus on:

  • releases that can work in DJ sets
  • credible labels and artists
  • clear BPM and Camelot key information
  • genre relevance
  • underground and editorial value
  • official platform availability
  • structured metadata that supports discovery
  • original notes where they add practical context

Fewer releases, more signal

Four2Four indexes fewer releases by design.

A smaller, curated catalogue is easier to trust than an endless feed with no selection method. Every release we include should offer at least one clear reason to exist in a DJ workflow: strong production, useful energy, label relevance, harmonic compatibility, genre importance, catalogue value, or set-building potential.

We prefer structured usefulness over raw quantity.

Built for DJ workflow and inspiration

Four2Four release pages are designed around the information DJs actually use:

  • BPM and tempo range
  • Camelot key and harmonic compatibility
  • tracklist structure
  • release format
  • label and artist context
  • official listen and buy links
  • related releases
  • DJ notes and mixing context where available

This makes Four2Four closer to a DJ discovery tool than a standard music blog.

Our position

Four2Four is editorial and technical at the same time.

It combines human selection with structured music metadata. Automation may help organise release data, but the site’s purpose is editorial: to decide what is worth surfacing and to make that information useful for DJs.

Four2Four is not a file-sharing site. We do not publish unauthorised downloads. We point readers toward official platforms, artist pages, label pages, streaming services, music stores, and legitimate sources.

Who Four2Four is for

Four2Four is for:

  • DJs building weekly crates
  • selectors looking for underground releases
  • producers researching labels and genre context
  • labels wanting their releases presented with useful metadata
  • electronic music fans who prefer curated discovery over algorithmic noise

What makes a release useful here

A release is useful when it helps a DJ act.

That action may be listening, buying, saving, matching by key, finding related releases, checking a label, exploring an artist, or placing a track inside a set.

Four2Four exists to make those actions faster and more informed.
