Four2Four operates on the principle that visitor data is not a product. The following describes what we collect, why, and what your rights are.
What we collect
- Analytics — aggregated, anonymised traffic data via [provider]. Page views, referrers, and country-level location. We don’t see individuals.
- Comments and submissions (where enabled) — name, email, IP. Email is never published.
- Server logs — IP, browser, referrer. Retained 30 days for security and debugging.
- Newsletter signups (where applicable) — email only. Unsubscribe at any time.
What we don’t do
- No third-party advertising or retargeting pixels.
- No sale, rental, or sharing of personal data.
- No behavioural profiling for resale.
- No tracking across third-party sites.
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies for site function and caching. One first-party analytics cookie. No advertising cookies.
Third-party services
- Hosting: Hetzner, Germany
- Analytics: Google Analytics
- CDN: Cloudflare
- Embeds: Beatport, Bandcamp, Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube. Embedded players may set their own cookies under their respective privacy policies.
Your rights
Request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of any personal data we hold by emailing privacy@four2four.net. We respond within 30 days. GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California) requests are honoured.
Children
Four2Four is not directed at users under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
Material changes are dated above and noted on the homepage for 30 days.
